Sacred Heart College is a Marist Brothers school founded in 1889. The College is situated in Observatory, Johannesburg, Gauteng and invites suitable applicants to apply for a Teaching Post to teach the following subjects: Mathematics Grade 7 & 8 Mathematical Literacy Grade 10 – 12 We seek to employ a person who: Is a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced teacher in both the GET and the FET phase; Has an innovative and progressive approach to teaching Mathematics in a differentiated classroom; Has the vision to identify and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the school in enhancing a 21st century curriculum; Has knowledge of the assessment procedures of the Independent Examinations Board; Has experience of marking matric examinations in Mathematical Literacy; Is able to work in a team which includes liaising with teachers teaching across the phases and the ITC support team; Is prepared to be part of a mentoring programme, if necessary.
